provides a full suite of time and
money-saving services for businesses,
Non-Government Organizations, and
consultants who implement projects
funded by the World Bank, USAID, and
dozens of other donor agencies and
foundations.
The marketplace hoped to make an
industry that was fragmented, burdened
by complicated bidding processes and
decentralized business information.
The resulting inefficiencies made
business frustrating and projects
less effective.
The marketplace aimed to provide
a full suite of services for businesses,
non-governmental organizations, and
consultants who implement development
projects funded by the World Bank,
USAID, and many other donor agencies
and foundations and thus make the
processes more efficient, transparent,
and effective.
CTE was engaged to develop a suite
of services and a fully integrated
database of business opportunities,
consultants, and companies within
the international development industry. |

Solution |
CTE built a full-scale application
where users can register their profiles
online and be listed in the marketplace’s
Global Directory of Companies and
Consultants. Once registered, users
can access a personalized database
of Business Opportunities designed
to help them locate project opportunities
in the developing world. CTE brought
the marketplace through a complete
development lifecycle and enabled
them to enter the market in record
time. The site was launched in just
under three months.
