Our Methodology
Successful implementations have a number of common components. Implementations can be done faster, cheaper, and more effectively when additional components are added to the mix. CTE utilizes two primary methodologies: Oracle’s Standard AIM, which was developed by Oracle specifically for the implementation of the Oracle e-Business Suite; and CTE's Safe Step Methodology, which was designed by CTE for the implementation of the Oracle e-Business Suite in midsized process manufacturing companies. Safe Step utilizes many of the AIM components, but deviates when called for by the specific and unique needs of our clients.

Upgrade Capabilities
All companies that use the Oracle e-Business suite will want to upgrade at some point. There are minor upgrades that may have little effect on the business and then there are major upgrades that can approach an implementation in terms of their complexity. Some process manufacturing companies have needed to upgrade from Datalogix or Oracle Gemms to current releases of Oracle. Frequently, in these situations it is better to re-implement than to upgrade.

Custom Development

CTE provides some of the most highly experienced OPM and Oracle Apps development resources available. Due to our vast experience with Oracle in process manufacturing we have development people who are experts on the OPM data model. This is a unique skill set that we combine with our experience on the other Oracle applications and with our utilization of offshore resources to provide our process manufacturing customers with a cost-effective, high-quality development model. Our development model utilizes US-based development personnel in conjunction with offshore resources. The US-based team drives the specification process and coordinates with the offshore team during the build phase. The US team manages the design, build, and testing and is responsible for the quality of the finished product.
