JEA, one of the largest utilities in the US, has defined a Big Hairy Audacious
Goal (BHAG) – To become the Best Service Provider in its class by
2004, and the best across industries by 2007. Cambridge Technology Enterprises
(CTE) Inc., helped JEA build applications that would help JEA meet BHAG
goals and enable its transformation into a Real-Time Enterprise. In its
2003 Annual Report, JEA has described three of these applications - Smart
Bill, OSCAR and OTIS.
