Cambridge Technology Enterprises ranks among
fastest-growing technology companies in New England Company
Receives Award Two Years in a Row |
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - October 15, 2001
– Cambridge Technology Enterprises (CTE) Inc., has been recognized as part
of the elite "New England Technology Fast 50" for 2001, a repeat
performance from year 2000. The Fast 50 is a ranking of the 50 fastest-growing
technology companies in the area, based on five-year revenue growth (1996-2000).
The program is presented by Deloitte & Touche and Hale and Dorr LLP,
and sponsored by Mazonson, Nasdaq, and Trinity Communications in association
with Mass High Tech, The Journal of New England Technology.
CTE's CFO Krish Nangegadda credits his team’s dedication and hard
work for the company's consistent revenue growth that has won the award
two years in a row. He said, “Making the list in successive years
is a reaffirmation of CTE’s maturity and stability as a technology
company, especially in these times of extreme volatility in the technology
marketplace.”
CTE's revenue growth over the five-year period of 1996 to 2000 resulted
in a ranking of Thirty-One overall in the Fast 50 for New England this year.
CTE ranked at number eighteen in last year’s Fast 50 list. “Achieving the level of revenue growth it takes
to make the Fast 50 list is an impressive benchmark of success,”
said Steve DiPietro, co-chair of the Fast 50 program and partner in the
Technology and Communications practice at Deloitte & Touche. He added,
"We at Deloitte & Touche commend CTE and its leadership
on this accomplishment."
Now in its fifth year, the New England Technology Fast 50 program has honored
hundreds of local fast-growing technology companies who have made a significant
impact on New England's innovation economy.
To qualify for the 2001 New England Technology Fast 50, a company must have
had revenues of at least $50,000 in 1996; may be public or private; and
must be headquartered in the region. To be considered for an award, the
company must produce technology, manufacture a technology product, be technologically
intensive, use technology in problem-solving, or devote a high percentage
of effort to the research and development of technology.
All nominees of the 22 regional Fast 50 programs in the United States are
automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program,
which ranks the top 500 fastest-growing technology companies in North America.
