A2IT (Affordable and Adaptable IT) - CTE’s mantra for enabling organizations move towards the Next Generation IT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – September 10, 2005 — Cambridge Technology Enterprises (CTE), an organization that focuses on building and integrating business applications for broad transformation needs of enterprises, today announced the launch of SOA Competency Center (SCC). SCC will be the launch pad for CTE’s Affordable and Adaptable IT (A2IT) Architecture framework for aiding companies to migrating to an SOA based architecture.

CTE’s innovative A2IT framework provides IT with the ability and agility to meet today’s demanding business challenges. CTE’s SOA Competency Center offers IT a Zero-Cost SOA migration strategy by combining global delivery for Operations & Maintenance activities with SOA migration. This Affordable and Adaptable strategy helps customers control costs while leveraging the significant benefits of SOA. The A2IT framework comprises of three components – IT infrastructure, IT Architecture and IT planning. A2IT makes the IT Infrastructure, Architecture and Planning simple, flexible and cost efficient.

Speaking on this Brian Courtney, VP, SOA Competency Center, CTE, said, “Technology is changing rapidly to reduce complexity and improve quality. Organizations need IT that is both Affordable and Adaptable. This is possible through effective planning to group thousands of applications and databases dispersed across the architecture, into logical blocks with minimum interconnections.

The idea is to move the IT costs from purely an IT department’s standpoint to the operations standpoint. A2IT uses SOA architecture concepts to implement an integrated solution. A2IT will provide an affordable and adaptable solution approach to organization’s mounting IT problems by using the best of the breed technologies and standards based architecture for integrating disparate IT components.

Bhasker Panigrahi, CEO, CTE, said, “This approach of managing IT complexity by integrating various point applications and systems and applying CTE’s Cambridge Collaboration Methodology™ to align the business, IT and other stakeholders enables organizations to be agile. A2IT makes an organization’s IT-life, simple and succinct.

CTE provides standards based solution offerings to customers that can be more easily integrated into an existing IT environment, minimizing costly integration obstacles and accelerating time-to-value for new initiatives.
