CTE Announces Creation of an Oracle Fusion Integration Center

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – November 10, 2005 — Cambridge Technology Enterprises (CTE), an organization that focuses on building and integrating business applications for broad transformation needs of enterprises, today announced the creation of a Oracle Fusion Integration Center as part of its SOA Competency Center (SCC). CTE’s SOA Competency center would leverage its Affordable and Adaptable IT (A2IT) framework for aiding companies to migrate to SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) based on Oracle Fusion Middleware.

According to Brian Courtney, VP of SOA Competency Center, CTE, “The 40 member strong Oracle Fusion Integration center provides us with a horizontal capacity to support our SOA integration needs across our vertical markets in Energy & Utility, Life Sciences, Government, Banking & Insurance. The new Competency Center, coupled with our CMMi Level 5 Global delivery processes provides our customers with mature delivery of leading edge technology from Oracle.

CTE’s innovative A2IT framework provides IT with the ability and agility to meet today’s demanding business challenges. CTE’s SOA Competency Center offers IT a Zero-Cost SOA migration strategy by combining global delivery for Operations & Maintenance activities. This Affordable and Adaptable strategy helps customers control costs while leveraging the significant benefits of SOA. The A2IT framework comprises of three components – IT Infrastructure, IT Architecture and IT Planning. A2IT makes the IT Infrastructure, Architecture and Planning - Simple, Flexible and Cost efficient.

The idea is to move the IT costs from purely an IT department’s standpoint to the operations standpoint. “We leverage Oracle Fusion Middleware to create SOA-based solutions to simplify the complexities in the customer’s architecture. Once the architecture is simplified, services are mapped to Oracle Grid technologies increasing overall system utilization. This enables our customers to more easily manage IT systems while improving productivity and reducing costs", said Mr. Courtney, A2IT uses SOA architecture concepts to implement an integrated solution. A2IT will provide an affordable and adaptable solution approach to organization’s mounting IT problems by using best of the breed technologies and standards based architecture for integrating disparate IT components.

Sanjay Sinha, Senior Director, Oracle, said, “Using Oracle’s Fusion Middleware to integrate various point applications & legacy systems on CTE’s A2IT framework would enable customers of Oracle & CTE realize the benefits of Architecture simplification rapidly, like reduced cost of sustenance while increasing organizations agility".

CTE provides standards based solution offerings to customers that can be more easily integrated into an existing IT environment, minimizing costly integration obstacles and accelerating the time-to-value for new initiatives.
